Our pastels are water-soluble and can be used for drawing or painting. This super versatile medium can be used in the following ways:

• Draw dry on paper
• Wet stick and draw wet on paper
• Wet paper and draw on it
• Draw then wet into washes
• Wet stick and use a brush to paint with the pigment

Swatches are done on Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper. Cold/rough-pressed paper is recommended. Smooth paper can not rub off and hold much color.
